HOW WE WORK
The ideal standard residential septic system will be located in an area below the house, or building, in soil with a depth of four (4) feet of good soil.
Texas Super Septic will visit your property, analyze the site, and provide a residential septic plan for a price ranging between $500 and $1200, depending on the site location and system complexity.
In addition, the permitting fees for a new septic system run from $230 in Bexar County to $325 in Blanco. Permitting fees vary by county.
The actual installation cost of the septic system depends on the size and type:
A residential on-site sewerage facility (OSSF) is sized according to the number of bedrooms and square footage of living area.
Commercial OSSFs are sized according to estimated water usage and wastewater strength.
The site and soil conditions will determine the type of OSSF to be installed.
The most common types of OSSFs in the area are aerobic with spray or drip disposal and septic tanks. Prices for residential installations range from about $7,000 – $15,000.

MEET DOUG DOWLEARN
With experience in septic design and installation dating back to 1987, Texas Super Septic is led by Doug Dowlearn, R.S.
His professional licenses and experience include:
- Registered Professional Sanitarian (RS #2432)
- Certified OSSF Site Evaluator (SE #9902)
- Certified OSSF Installer 2 (OS 4089).
- Designated OSSF Representative for the Bexar County Environmental Health Dept. for 5 1/2 years.
Doug is knowledgeable and experienced on the entire On-Site Sewage Facilities (OSSF) construction process from initial permitting through installation. His firm routinely designs, permits, and/or installs approximately 200 septic installations per year throughout the San Antonio / Austin / Hill Country area. He has a B.S. degree from Texas A&M University and a M.S. degree from Texas State University.
